The Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture at Stephen F. Austin State University and the Southern Research Station of the United States Forest Service is pleased to announce they will be hosting the 22nd Biennial Southern Silvicultural Research Conference (BSSRC) at the Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches, Texas, March 21-23, 2023.  For over 40 years this conference has provided the opportunity for scientists, practitioners and students to interact with each other, report research findings, present innovative techniques and concepts, and stay current with the newest developments in the broad field of silviculture across the southern United States.  The BSSRC has the reputation as being one of the best regional forestry conferences in the country, and the 2nd Conference will be the first one held post-COVID.

Sponsorships are a vital component of these conferences, allowing us to keep registration costs as low as possible, and especially allowing for a substantial reduced registration fee for students, the next generation of forest managers. As such we are offering sponsorship opportunities to organizations that support the broad field of silviculture, including forest management and forest product manufacturing.
